The Granary, Mangerton

The lovely old granary is home to a fascinating collection of art and artefacts, many of them gleaned from Maggie and Don's travels in the Far East, as well as traditonal English pottery and work by contemporary Dorset artists.

Full English cooked breakfast is served in the upstair dining room, where you will sit on pews and be able to peep through the round window down onto the lovingly-cherished garden.

From the dining room you can see the original granary wheel astride the beams in the rafters, with the ropes and pulleys once used to haul the stacks of grain up from below for storage in the granary barn.

Looking directly out onto the enchanting garden or the courtyard are two downstairs bedrooms, a twin and a double, each with its own "en suite" bath or shower room, charmingly furnished in country style.

Opening onto the courtyard is a small sitting room for guests with a television and sofas.
